Default Help With New PvP Warrior

Ok im new to making warriors and have decided to make one. I like to do all forms of PvP. I would like to know: what the best weapon is for PvP? What is a good secondary?(although i will most likely be monk) What skills are good to use for the certain weapon class? and Do shields really help..cause as u know with a hammer u cannot use one?

1. That question is asked many times and everybody say somethink differant. So use search to find threads like: "I own all with my axt" or "Sword PwN nem aLl !!!11oneone" or just look into the "Warrior Basics" Forum.

2. Same Problem everyone will tell you whats best, after all you have to deside what you want. (watch Warrior Basics and you will find some infos)

Well, yes, in the end YOU have to answer your own questions, and we'll HELP fill in the slots. [we don't make builds for you for free ;p]

Post a build and we'll augment it through our many years of experience... [gurk... ]

1. You want versatility and use of your energy? Sword
You want monstrous rapid fire critical damage? Axe
You want to laugh at your foe's feeble attempt at fighting back? Hammer
2. Secondaries will allow you to do a LOT of things. In general, there's 3 VERY basic secondaries you can use to augment your warrior.
Want SUPREME dmg [sacrificing defense?] Go W/E
Want SUPREME Defense [sacrificing dmg?] Go W/Mo
Want to be able to do both? [but not as good?] Go W/N

12+4 sword
3+1 strength
12 water magic

water trident
conjure frost
use stonefist gauntlets to lengthen the knockdown and or give you time to catch up to somebody. With this build i kill most targets before I can final thrust :b

In Arena, a good W/Mo Axe with Judge's Insight does the highest damage, although Hammer is arguably better since you can solo a monk.

Some other options for the secondary are support roles if you are playing in tombs since enchantments are not a good idea. This includes W/R for a few spirits or W/Me with Signet of Humility and possibly Blackout. And of course "Fear Me!"

ok yes i know that each one has versatility and its up to you to choose which to use. So then the main question is:

Are shields worth it in PvP?
(do they help enough with reducing damage that it is actually worth it to use one)
Right now im debating between axe and shield vs. hammer

Shield is a non-issue in pvp, as are any defensive skills for a warrior. With nothing but your superior armor and absorption runes, you'll be plenty tough enough.

Go hammer, everyone wants hammer warriors in their group, if you do, consider using the cookie cutter kd/aftershock warrior/elementalist. Bring wards if you do this.

If you decide to go axe, or don't like ele, I strongly recommend going nec secondary for removing conditions on yourself, as conditions decimate warriors.

If you take monk secondary, which I recommend against, bring purge conditions and go smiting, never ever go healing or prot.
